Robert McCloskey's Lentil
A young boy named Lentil loves music, but he can’t sing or whistle. He saves his pennies, heads to the store, and buys himself a harmonica. He plays all over; he even plays through the streets of Alto, Ohio. Everyone loves it, except for Old Sneep. In the end, Lentil’s harmonica playing saves the day in spite of Old Sneep’s effort to spoil it.
