One day, Masako Matsuno found herself walking in her clogs again to hear the familiar sounds they made on the pavement. This book grew out of that event and her wish to share the sound and the experience with American children. Some activities in this unit include chopstick pom poms, graphing, weather tracking, and making Japanese rice balls.
