Margarette S. Reid is the author of The Button Box. She is also the author of A String of Beads and Lots and Lots of Coins. She worked as a teacher for many years. The illustrator of The Button Box is Sarah Chamberlain. She used linoleum cuts to create the pictures in this story.A young boy explores the contents of his Grandmother’s button box and discovers a rich history to the art of the button.
