Henny Penny is the tale of a chicken who believes the sky is falling after she is struck on the head by an acorn. She sets out on a journey to tell the king, and several of her friends join her along the way. But their quest is interrupted when they come upon the sly Foxy Loxy. Children will love the colorful illustrations in this book, which wonderfully capture the personalities of the various characters! Some of the activities in this unit are making a feather sensory bin, creating Henny Penny, and making acorn pancakes.
